The Manitoba Aviation Council can help its members with arranging training. We have offered first aid for cabin crew, crew resource management, and ATP licence exam prep courses, amongst others. If you have a particular training need that you can't fill in-house, contact the MAC Training Program Manager at trainingmb@mbaviation.ca for more information and collaboration.

COMMERCIAL PILOT EXAM PREPARATION COURSE

The Manitoba Aviation Council is pleased to provide this two day commercial pilot exam preparation course on Saturday 24 February and Sunday 25 February 2024, from 9 am to 5 pm. Our instructor will review common trouble areas on the Transport Canada CPL exam so that you can be better prepared to take and pass the exam. The course fee includes two full days of instructor facilitated learning and lunch for both days. Instruction will take place at the Holiday Inn Express, 1740 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg. The cost of this course is only $99. Attendees are required to have an active subscription to the CPL course on pilottraining.ca. If you don't have an active subscription, a special offer is available on our registration form. Early registration is recommended as there is limited space available.

Aviation LEadership Training 
Provideing the right skills for transitioning Leaders (Frontline - Middle Managment) 

In our industry we have countless people who are skilled in management and who can plan the workday, week, month and year, with very little time wasted, and all within budget. The role of leaders in aviation however, involves coaching, mentoring, motivating and influencing others in the workplace. This workshop will delve into these behaviours and see how closely knit they are with employee commitment, loyalty, motivation, pride and productivity than does any other variable.

FIREFIGHTING TRAINING
MOBILE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FIREFIGHTING SIMULATORS

This 3-hour Firefighting Training includes a theoretical portion online or in class with a quiz exam which serves to verify that the knowledge has been assimilated by the participants. It is followed by a practical training portion in a 100% electric Cabin Simulator (Flames, Smoke and Heat Stratification). Participants learn Fire Emergency Techniques including; Wearing a breathing apparatus (PBE – all models are available), the use of portable Fire extinguishers and other Emergency Equipment, Passenger Management, Communication. The program is in accordance with current international civil aviation regulations. SIM Cabin Firefighting Training (1h45)

EVACUATION ON WATER  

This 3-hour Evacuation on water Training includes a theoretical portion online or in class with a quiz exam which serves to verify that the knowledge has been assimilated by the participants. It is followed by a practical in-pool portion (with Life vests, Raft, Slide raft, Survival kit). Participants learn Emergency Techniques in the event of an Evacuation on water including; Wearing a Life vest, Warming positions in the water (hypothermia), Boarding raft techniques, Use of Survival kit Equipment. The program is in accordance with current international civil aviation regulations. In-pool Evacuation on water Training (1h45).
