2024 Manitoba's best Pilot challenge

monday 26 february

The Manitoba Aviation Council is excited to present the first Manitoba's Best Pilot Challenge!
We challenge all Manitoba pilots to test their skills on a series of scenarios. Pilots will compete against others in the same categories: Student, Amateur, Professional, and Armchair. The top three participants in each category will receive a prize. The top score overall will receive the opportunity for a flight in the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum's Tiger Moth aircraft, a value of more than $300!

Each participant will have a five minute warm up period to become familiar with the operation of the Microsoft Flight Simulator software. The participant will then compete in two or three scenarios, with difficulty levels appropriate to the category. At the end of the scenarios, the score will be calculated.

Categories:

Student includes everyone who has begun flying training but who has not completed a licence or permit;

Amateur includes everyone who holds or previously held a private pilot licence, a recreational pilot permit, or an ultralight pilot permit;

Professional includes everyone who holds or previously held a commercial pilot licence or an air transport pilot licence;

Armchair includes everyone who has not taken any pilot training.
