Manitoba aviation scholarships

Manitoba Aviation Council members and MAC are pleased to offer the following aviation scholarships. Scholarships will be presented at the Manitoba Aviation Conference banquet on the evening of Tuesday 27 February 2024.

All scholarships require applicants to be:

  • Manitoba residents willing to take training at a Manitoba facility; 
  • old enough to begin training in the current calendar year (eg, at least 16 years old for a private pilot scholarship);
  • interested in pursuing a career in aviation;
  • an active volunteer in the community.

2024 Scholarship Sponsors

Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship ($1,500.00 for advanced pilot training)

Illumia Labs Scholarship
 ($1,000.00 to a woman or girl at least sixteen years old to pursue any aviation career path)

Fast Air Scholarship ($1,000.00 for training towards a private or commercial pilot licence; must be under 21 years of age)

Keewatin Air D. Wayne McLeod Memorial Scholarship ($2,000.00 to a Manitoba or Nunavut resident, requires work or volunteer experience, two letters of reference)

Missinippi Air Scholarship ($5,000.00 to an Indigenous flight student)

Prairie Helicopter Scholarship ($1,000.00 for a Stevenson Aviation College AME or AMJ student)

Southport Aerospace Scholarship ($2,000.00 for an AME or AMJ student at Southport Campus)

St Andrews Airport Aviation Scholarship ($1,000.00 for flight or aviation training to a current or former air cadet)

Wings over Kississing Scholarship ($5,000.00 for a float endorsement. This scholarship includes a work experience component.)

Winnipeg Aviation Scholarship ($500.00 for private or commercial pilot license training taken at Winnipeg Aviation)

WASCO Scholarship ($1,000.00 for training for an aviation or airport management career)
