George Farrington is the Director of External Relations for the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), where he represents over 13,000 general aviation aircraft owners, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts across Canada. COPA has been a cornerstone of the aviation community since 1952, and George plays a key role in fostering its mission and values. With a strong background in aerospace engineering and aviation technology, George combines technical expertise with a lifelong passion for aviation. As a private pilot, he has firsthand experience in the world of general aviation, giving him a unique perspective on the needs of the community he serves. Before moving to Canada in March 2023, George worked internationally, conducting flight inspections of landing systems and navigation aids across Europe, North Africa, and Asia. He also held the position of Project and Business Development Manager for a UK-based airline, where he developed extensive leadership and strategic planning skills.
