I’ve been employed with Transport Canada for 24 years as a Civil Aviation Flight Operations Inspector. In that time, my role supporting regulatory safety and oversight has spanned to most areas of aviation operations including remotely piloted aircraft. I recently deployed from the RPAS Task Force in Ottawa to the Prairie and Northern Region as the Flight Operations Standards Coordinator. I’ve been involved in Canadian aviation since 1989. My previous industry experience covers operations in Part 4 flight training as a Chief Flight Instructor/Pilot Examiner and all sections of Part 7 operations: air work, air taxi, commuter, and airline operations. I ended my industry career with Canadian Regional Airlines during the Canadian Airlines/Air Canada merger in 2000. Although aviation has given me the opportunity to live in many parts of Canada, I currently reside in Winnipeg with my family.
