The Manitoba Aviation Council ("MAC," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. - Scholarship and award applications: name, contact details, education and training information, supporting documents, and any other information requested in the application. Some scholarships have specific eligibility criteria, and we collect only what's needed to assess eligibility.
- Volunteer and partnership enquiries: name, contact details, organization, and areas of interest.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your name and email address.
- Website usage: information collected automatically through cookies and Google Analytics, such as pages visited, browser type, device type, and general location. This information does not identify you personally.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, manage memberships and renewals, register attendees and run events, review and administer scholarships and awards, coordinate volunteers and partners, send newsletters and updates you've agreed to receive, process payments, and understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
We don't use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless required by law.
Consent
By submitting a form on our website, you consent to MAC using your information for the purpose described on that form. We'll only send you our newsletter or promotional emails if you've opted in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect our ability to provide certain services (for example, processing a membership or scholarship application).
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only:
- With scholarship sponsors and selection committees, where needed to assess applications and award scholarships.
- With service providers who help us operate, such as our website host (Webflow), payment processor [e.g. Paypal]. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.

With your permission, we may publish the names of scholarship recipients, award winners, and event participants in our communications and on our website.
Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
