With over 35 years in commercial aviation, Julie Mailhot brings extensive experience in operations, safety, regulatory affairs, and international coordination. She is the President and CEO of the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC), representing flight training organizations, regional and national carriers, and aviation service providers nationwide. Before joining ATAC, she served as Regional Director of Operations, Safety and Security for the Americas at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), working with airlines and ICAO regional groups to advance safety and operational standards across North and South America.

Julie previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Air Georgian under the Air Canada Express banner, where she served as the Transport Canada Operations Manager for both 704 and 705 operations and led major operational improvements, including the creation of a centralized System Operations Center. Earlier in her career, she spent many years at Air Canada in senior operational leadership roles, including Chief Flight Dispatcher, Director of International Operations and Director of System Operations Control, overseeing global operations and coordinating closely with Nav Canada, airport authorities, and government partners.
